Are there differences in LCD TVs? Today absolutely Yes.

Picture and sound quality can vary considerably. Many TVs look great when you first see them in the shop, but don't look as good at home with normal TV signals. So don't rush, spend time watching a few different TVs and noticing the differences. Listen too, sound quality is variable.

Recent interesting LCD products include large screen LCD TVs such as the LN-R408D from Samsung. This is a 40″ Wide HDTV with an ATSC/Digital Cable Ready (DCR) Tuner. Like most LCD TVs this one is relatively slim and light.

Its also High-Definition TV (HDTV)-ready - handy because HDTV sets let you enjoy regular TV and display HDTV images from any High-Definition source and mor eand more are appearing.

In general, a major benefit of LCD screens is they provide high contrast and brightness for lifelike images with realistic colors.
