LCD TV

Are there differences in LCD TVs? Today absolutely Yes.

Picture and sound quality can vary considerably. Many TVs look great when you first see them in the shop, but don't look as good at home with normal TV signals. So don't rush, spend time watching a few different TVs and noticing the differences. Listen too, sound quality is variable.

Good shopping!

New Sharp LCD TV

Sharp has announced a new LCD product that displays different pictures depending whether people are viewing the screen from the left or the right.

The “two-way viewing-angle LCD,” works by sending light from the backlight separately to the right and left sides of the screen.

It suggests uses such as one person surfing the Internet, using the display as a PC screen with another watching a movie or TV show.

It will also work for watching two TV channels at the same time: sport for the guy and a soap for the girl! :-)
The display will costs approx twice the standard type, will be available any time now.

It will probably be licensed by Sharp to other LCD TV vendors such as Sony, Sanyo, Panasonic, Grundig etc.
